Vented cylinders require a cold water tank which must be located in the loft space and a hot water tank, as the vented system uses gravity to generate pressure as this is not taken directly from the mains. Unvented hot water cylinders take their water supply directly from the mains, this allowing for a better water pressure in comparison to a traditional vented cylinder.
Unvented systems can be beneficial as they require less space in your property, they can be hidden in the loft or in an alternate discreet location, there are few limitations to where the unvented system can be installed.
The unvented system also offers a horizontal cylinder which may suit better to a space in your home.
